The Original Griddle Co. started with one obsession: the perfect smash. Thin edges, crispy lace, a proper sear. We set up in Langley and never looked back.
How It Started
We grew up believing a burger should be made with real ingredients. Real grass-fed beef, real cheddar cheese, a home made sauce. Smashed — on a hot flat-top, by hand, the way it’s supposed to be.
So a while back, we built a trailer, fired up the griddle, and parked it in Langley. One griddle, fresh, grass-fed beef, and a refusal to cut corners. That was the whole plan. It still is.
What Makes a Smash
A smashburger isn’t just a thin burger. It’s a technique. We press fresh grass-fed beef onto a screaming-hot flat-top so the edges caramelize into a crispy, lacy crust — that deep, beefy sear you can’t fake with a thick patty. Then Real Cheddar Cheese, OG Sauce, pickles, sliced onions and jalapenos and a turmeric potato bun to hold it all together
That’s the OG Smash. Everything else on the menu is built with the same stubborn attention to detail.
Fresh, Grass-fed Beef, No Shortcuts
We use 100% fresh, grass-fed beef — never frozen, smashed to order. Our sauce is made in-house. Our standards don’t bend on a busy day. We’d rather run out than serve something we wouldn’t eat ourselves.
